Yankees vs. Blue Jays prediction: Bet on Hyun Jin Ryu

Not sure winning matters when the Yankees face the Blue Jays in Buffalo on Thursday. The Yankees are going to finish second in the AL East and may sit some starters (Aaron Judge?, Giancarlo Stanton?, Ruben Sierra?) to keep them healthy for the postseason.

The Jays have not yet clinched a playoff spot. Yanks will give Jordan Montgomery (2-2, 5.12 ERA) another start, which could be his last this year. Montgomery surrendered four runs over 4 ²/₃ frames to the Bosox at Fenway in his last outing. “Torontalo” counters with Hyun Jin Ryu (4-2, 3.00 ERA), but this start may be reduced to a short tuneup if the Jays have already clinched. Ryu has allowed only three runs over his last 12 innings. Going in blind (not that we have picked well when we can see clearly), we will take the Jays for 20 units.

We played two on Wednesday. Backed Shane Bieber and the Indians against the visiting White Sox and the Astros’ Zack Greinke on the road in Seattle. Account at -720 billdorans as we wait.
